Beginners Courses

The beginners course is designed to teach the basic skills of archery to those keen to try the sport. The course will allow you to sample target archery, field archery and clout.

We offer at least two courses each year in the spring, and they are suitable for people aged 12+ (under 18s must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times while attending the course).

Instruction is given by experienced archers, and all equipment is provided by the club.

The beginners course isn’t intended as a taster/fun-day, but rather as an entry to club membership. As such, the cost of the course includes Probationary Membership for the remainder of the year, insurance and the use of the club equipment during the training.

The main course runs for a full day, with follow-up coaching at normal club sessions.

The next course dates are:

  • Sat 11th May 2024
  • Sun 2nd June 2024
