Our club is always open to new members, whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced archer.
Once a member you will have access to our archery field and our two field archery venues.
Membership subscriptions are reviewed annually and are payable by the 31st March every year. Subscriptions include civil liability insurance which covers archery at the club’s facilities.
Note, that the club is not affiliated to ArcheryGB or other archery associations and therefore the membership fees are exceptional value for money.
Members under the age of 18 years may shoot only in the presence of an experienced adult member of the club and must also be accompanied by a parent or guardian when shooting.
Novice Archers
New archers must join the club as probationary members by attending one of our probationary members beginners courses before they can join the club. The course is designed to teach the basic skills of archery, as well as the safety aspects. The course will allow you to sample target archery, field archery and clout.
After successfully completing the beginners course you will become a probationary member, with full access to club facilities, until the next membership renewal.

If you’ve taken a beginner’s course at another club, and still have the certificate, you’ll be able to join our club straight away, and will be assessed as an experienced archer – see below.
Experienced Archers
If you are an experienced archer or have attended a beginners course elsewhere, you will be asked to carry out a safety check where you demonstrate your competency to the committee. The assessment is mainly with regards to the safety aspects of archery and you do not need to demonstrate the ability to reach certain scores.
